Canadian Stamps

Finally, I have been able to post some Canadian stamps. It's been a long haul with all these stamps plus all the other countries. I hope that I have identified them right.

For now it is just single stamps, but there are lots more to come ie: plate blocks, souvenir sheets, coil stamps etc.

India Stamp - Unidentified

I have been trying to identify this stamp for quite awhile now with no luck. The design is A47 and with the denomination of 1/2a it looks like India number 81 but the colour of 81 is dark green and this stamp is turquoise or ultramarine. If anybody can help identify it I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Not a stamp expert!!!

Finally, I think I am getting a handle on all these beautiful miniature works of art that I have acquired. For awhile I was feeling rather overwhelmed by the number of stamps and trying to identify them properly. I hope that I have accomplished that so far. I am definitely NOT an expert on stamps by any means but learning more each day.

Trying to learn all I can about stamps!!

I was never involved in the business and am now desperately trying to learn everything I can about the philatelic world. Learning such terminology as definitives, se-tenant pairs, overprints, "Machin", surcharges etc.

Dealing with watermarks has been a different thing, trying to see them is a real challenge, but I am working on it.

Stamp Pictures

I started out with the intention of having a picture for each and every stamp but soon realized that it would take a lot of time to do with the number involved. There are a few stamps with pictures, look for camera beside Scott Catalog number. If there is a stamp that you are interested in, please let me know and I will include it in the next update or I can email it to you.
